Ceramic aluminium oxide abrasive grinding wheels are a premium choice for precision grinding and finishing. Known for their durability and sharpness, these wheels incorporate a microcrystalline structure that is self-sharpening, which means they maintain their cutting efficiency over time. They are particularly suited for high tensile materials such as stainless steel and tool steels, but can also handle hard metals like bronze alloys. The aluminium oxide is friable, allowing it to cut freely and provide a clean finish. When used on bench grinders, these wheels offer a cool cutting action, reducing the risk of overheating and warping of the tool being sharpened.
