• 0.5 micron (purple) - final finish
• 1.0 micron (yellow) - metal investigation, mirror finish
• 1.5 micron (peach) - metal investigation, mirror finish
• 2.5 micron (pink) - metal investigation, mirror finish
• 3.5 micron (pink) - fine polish, hard metals and carbides
• 5 micron (blue) - fine polish, hard metals and carbides
• 7 micron (blue) - pre-polish for specimens, fine lapping steels
