Abrasive Wheels Regulations Training Course.

This training course is designed to meet the requirements for training in line with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 1998) for safety in the use of abrasive wheels. 

The training course is carried out at our training centre in Cambridgeshire where we have portable and fixed grinding/cutting equipment and bench/pedestal/tool & cutter/surface/cylindrical grinders. The content is both theoretical and practical based and includes multi-media presentations that demonstrate the need for safety in the use of grinding wheels.  The training is fully interactive with delegates, after tuition, encouraged to demonstrate their awareness of safety in the use of abrasive wheels.

Abtec Industries are specialists in abrasives and the training is conducted by senior staff with many years experience in the abrasive industry. Our trainers have achieved 'Professional trainer certification' from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH).

Typical environments include small workshops and toolrooms, fabricators, maintenance departments, construction sites and local authority workshops etc.

The training is of 4 hours duration. Light refreshments are included. 

Suitability: This course is designed for the occasional user through to the more experienced user of portable grinding/cutting machines powered by either petrol, compressed air or electricity and/or bench/pedestal mounted machines. For your safety full personal protective equipment will be provided by Abtec.
