100mm (4") Fibre backed sanding discs.
-
Aluminium oxide abrasive: Most popular for general applications, mild steel, low carbon steel and other ferrous metals. Good performance and economical. Fast cutting and long life. Can be used on flat or contoured surfaces.
-
Zirconia abrasive. High stock removal on coarse grits, performs well on stainless steel. Zirconia's inherent feature of cooler cutting when grinding makes it a much more durable and hard wearing grain than aluminium oxide and less likely to discolour stainless steel.
-
Ceramic abrasive. High performance. Ceramic abrasive is tough dense abrasive and extremely long lasting. Due to its micro structure extremely small micron size particles break off during grinding, producing very many new cutting edges. Because it stays sharp especially when used in medium and high pressure operations it cuts at a higher rate than other abrasives. Recommended on forged and carbon steels, high nickel and cobalt alloys.
-
Silicon carbide abrasive. An aggressive sanding disc combined with long life. Ideal for for use on marble and very hard materials.
